- Classes meet in person on campus; specific days/times/location

- A portion of the classes meet synchronous via Zoom or other resource and a portion is asynchronous online; there will be some specific days/times
- 混合型-网上 & 面对面
- A portion of the classes meet in person on campus and a portion is asynchronous or synchronous online; there will be some specific days/times/locations
- 混合型-网上 Asynchronous & 在人
- Classes meet in both asynchronous online and in-person modes; specific meeting times and locations for in-person portions of classes are listed with each course
- 混合型-网上 Synchronous (Zoom) & 在人
- Classes meet in both synchronous online (Zoom) and in-person modes; specific meeting times and locations are listed with each course
- Hyflex
- Combines online and 面对面的 instruction. Students may participate in different ways: online - synchronous, online - asynchronous, 面对面的, or as a flexible learner (student has a degree of choice as to how they participate each week).
- Flex
- Flex courses may provide students with the opportunity to meet in-person on campus, on the synchronous days and times already scheduled, if conditions allow.
- 估算credits
- 估算credits are developmental courses for students who need to prepare themselves for college-level work. They count toward financial aid requirements but do not count toward earned college credits or GPA.
- 交互式电视
- Classes are taught live from one campus location and broadcast to one or more additional campus locations. Cameras and microphones at all sites allow faculty and learners to see and talk with each other.
Students will examine the foundations of major cultures of today's world from the beginning of recorded history to the early modern age, with an emphasis on how these developments continue to shape the human experience. They will utilize methods of the 社会 sciences by researching, 解释, and communicating an understanding of primary and secondary historical sources. The factual and interpretive content of this course will emphasize the comparisons of key historical developments, 他们的时间表, 交互, and the diffusions of the world's major cultures amid increasing global interconnection. Students will examine the history of the United States from the conclusion of the Civil War to the present. Using the methodology of the 社会 sciences, students will learn and evaluate the major political, 社会, 文化, scientific-technological, 经济, and natural developments that have shaped the recent American experience. Students will give special attention to the unique contributions made by diverse peoples and institutions, and will better understand the responsibilities of educated citizens today. Corequisite/Prerequisite: ENG 1510. It is not necessary to take HIS 1530 before 他1540年. HIS courses are reading and writing intensive. Institutional Course Syllabus
